A Major Milestone: Our First Four EIK Prototypes Have Arrived

After years of research, engineering and countless hours of development, we recently delivered the first four EIK prototypes to their new homes.

These aren't finished products.

They're not production units.

They're working prototypes, built to answer one simple question:

How does EIK actually feel in everyday life?

The answer has been incredibly encouraging.

Interestingly, none of our first users started by talking about colour temperature, CRI or technology.

They talked about how the light made them feel.

One described it as "warm and welcoming."

Another called it "clean light."

Several people said something we found especially interesting:

"The light isn't visible."

Not because it was dim.

But because it never called attention to itself.

Instead, it quietly transformed the room.

One homeowner described it beautifully:

"The whole room feels richer and warmer."

Another noticed something we have experienced for years in cinematography:

"People simply look more alive."

Perhaps our favourite feedback came from the children.

They had no idea they were part of a lighting experiment.

They didn't know anything about LED engines, colour science or circadian lighting.

Yet they spontaneously looked up and said:

"Wow... nice light."

Children rarely analyse light.

They simply react to it.

Their mother has always loved lighting and beautiful lamps, so compliments about lighting are not unusual in their home.

But hearing the children notice it, without being prompted, was something entirely different.

One comment from the family stayed with us:

"The light doesn't nag."

We couldn't have found a better description ourselves.

Because that is exactly what we have been trying to build.

A light that isn't trying to impress you.

A light that doesn't dominate the room.

A light that simply feels natural to live with.

For more than twenty-five years we have developed lighting for cinema, television, architecture and art.

Those industries taught us that the best lighting is rarely the lighting people notice.

It's the lighting that makes people, spaces and moments feel their best.

That philosophy became EIK.

These first four prototypes are only the beginning.

We still have much to refine before production.

But hearing people describe the light using words like warm, welcoming, clean, natural,

rich, and perhaps our favorite, "it doesn't nag," tells us we're moving in the right direction.

That's exactly the kind of light we've been trying to create.
